About the job Sales Engineer (Food Testing)
Key Responsibilities:
1.Client Development & Market Expansion
Develop clients in Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, and other Southeast Asian markets across the food & beverage, agriculture, and pet food industries. Promote the companys testing, training, certification, and auditing services.
Execute regional sales strategies to achieve annual sales targets and expand market share.
2.Client Relationship Management
Maintain and strengthen relationships with existing clients, identify upsell opportunities, and drive repeat/long-term partnerships.
Conduct regular client visits, provide technical solutions consulting, and coordinate internal resources to ensure seamless service delivery.
3.Cross-functional Collaboration
Collaborate closely with technical and certification teams to align client requirements with service execution.
Provide feedback on Southeast Asian market trends and client pain points to optimize product/service strategies.
4.Market Analysis & Reporting
Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes in Malaysia and neighboring countries. Submit regular sales reports.
Represent the company at industry exhibitions, seminars, and events to enhance brand visibility.
5.Negotiation & Contract Management
Lead pricing negotiations, contract finalization, and payment follow-up to ensure project success.
6.Frequent Travel
Regular business trips to Singapore, Indonesia, and other assigned countries.
Requirements:
1.Education
Bachelors degree or above in Food Science, Biotechnology, Agriculture, International Trade, Marketing, or related fields (preferred).
2.Experience
3+ years of B2B sales experience, preferably in food/agriculture/pet food industries or testing/certification sectors.
Existing client network in Southeast Asia (Malaysia/Singapore/Indonesia) is a strong advantage.
3.Skills
Exceptional negotiation, communication, and client management skills.
Proficient in CRM systems and Microsoft Office.
4.Other
Results-driven, adaptable to fast-paced environments, and capable of independently acquiring clients.
