Key Responsibilities

Market Development & Strategy

  • Develop and implement a sales plan for the India region, targeting new-build and retrofit opportunities for marine navigation and communication systems.
  • Identify and cultivate partnerships with shipyards, fleet operators, vessel managers, and distributors.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor offerings, and technological developments to inform commercial strategy.
  • Build a strong sales pipeline aligned with regional growth objectives.

Sales & Business Acquisition

  • Proactively identify and secure new business opportunities within the merchant, offshore, and naval segments.
  • Prepare and deliver tailored technical sales proposals, quotations, and product presentations.
  • Negotiate pricing, contract terms, and delivery schedules in collaboration with the commercial and technical teams.
  • Achieve assigned sales, revenue, and margin targets through strategic account management and business development activities.

Account Management & Customer Support

  • Serve as the primary contact for Indian clients, ensuring effective communication, responsiveness, and post-sale engagement.
  • Work closely with the engineering and service teams to coordinate installation, commissioning, and technical support.
  • Maintain long-term relationships with key customers and stakeholders to ensure repeat business and high client satisfaction.

Collaboration & Reporting

  • Collaborate with regional offices, technical departments, and management to align sales strategies and share market intelligence.
  • Provide regular reports on sales forecasts, pipeline development, and market feedback.
  • Support marketing efforts such as trade exhibitions, industry seminars, and customer engagement activities in India.

Commercial & Operational Accountability

  • Manage quotations, commercial negotiations, and contract documentation in line with company standards.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies, ethical practices, and export control requirements.
  • Contribute to strategic planning for new products and service offerings based on client demand and industry trends.


Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelors degree in Engineering, Maritime Studies, Business, or a related field.
  • Proven success in achieving sales targets and developing regional markets.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
  • Willingness to travel frequently across India and occasionally to other regions.
