Key Responsibilities

  • Proactively seek out and secure new business opportunities across the designated territory, with a strong focus on direct client acquisition.
  • Take ownership of the entire sales lifecycle — from initial outreach and qualification to deal closure and contract finalization.
  • Establish and manage a robust sales pipeline to consistently achieve and surpass revenue expectations.
  • Promote and sell a comprehensive suite of offerings, including:
    • Satellite communication solutions (covering various orbit technologies and hybrid setups)
    • Maritime hardware and onboard connectivity systems
    • Digital and value-added services
    • Managed IT solutions such as network operations, cybersecurity, remote support, and infrastructure oversight
    • Advanced networking solutions (e.g., SD-WAN), including traffic optimization, multi-link management, and resilient connectivity design
  • Develop and implement a structured regional sales strategy aimed at onboarding new shipowners, fleet managers, and corporate maritime clients.
  • Identify and penetrate high-potential accounts, positioning solutions to replace incumbent providers where applicable.
  • Achieve or exceed defined sales targets, including revenue, profitability, and new client acquisition goals.
  • Manage complex commercial discussions and successfully close long-term service agreements and managed solutions contracts.
  • Work closely with strategic partners and distributors to broaden market reach while retaining control over key accounts.
  • Identify, onboard, and enable channel partners to contribute to pipeline growth and revenue generation.
  • Deliver high-level presentations to senior stakeholders and drive consultative, solution-led sales discussions.
  • Maintain accurate records in CRM systems, ensuring reliable forecasting and consistent pipeline reporting.
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activities, adjusting strategies to maintain a competitive edge.
  • Participate in industry exhibitions and networking events to generate leads and expand business opportunities.
  • Travel regularly (up to approximately 50%) to support client engagement and business development efforts.

Requirements & Experience

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in business development or sales within sectors such as maritime technology, satellite communications, networking solutions, or managed IT services.
  • Exposure to the maritime sector is advantageous, though not mandatory.
  • Strong track record of consistently achieving or exceeding sales targets and winning new clients.
  • Proven ability to manage complex, consultative sales processes.
  • Experience with managed connectivity or SD-WAN solutions is a strong advantage.
  • Capable of independently planning and executing regional sales strategies.
  • Tertiary education in Business or a related discipline is preferred.
  • Strong proficiency in CRM tools with disciplined tracking and forecasting practices.
  • Excellent negotiation and deal-closing capabilities.
  • Confident communicator with the ability to engage senior-level stakeholders.
  • Results-oriented, driven, and able to thrive in a fast-moving environment.
  • Open to frequent travel within the region.
