Role Overview
The CFO is a strategic finance leader responsible for safeguarding cash flow, enhancing profitability, managing financial risks, and supporting senior management in business decision-making—particularly within a marine or maritime environment.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Leadership & Governance

  • Lead the finance and accounting function and ensure accurate monthly reporting

  • Strengthen internal controls, approval frameworks, and governance standards

  • Oversee GST, tax compliance, and corporate regulatory requirements

  • Liaise with auditors, tax agents, and banking partners

Cash Flow & Working Capital (Critical)

  • Manage weekly and monthly cash flow forecasting

  • Improve accounts receivable collections and optimize accounts payable terms

  • Plan cash requirements for projects and service operations

Budgeting & Cost Management

  • Prepare annual budgets and rolling forecasts

  • Monitor cost variances (e.g., overtime, travel, subcontracting, spares)

  • Drive cost-optimization initiatives without disrupting operations

Pricing, Margin & Profitability

  • Analyze profitability by project, service contract, and customer

  • Support tender pricing and commercial decision-making

  • Review manpower utilization and overtime impact on margins

Strategic Business Support

  • Act as key finance partner to the CEO/Managing Director

  • Evaluate new investments and business opportunities

  • Perform scenario planning and capital expenditure analysis

Risk Management & Insurance

  • Identify financial and contractual risks

  • Oversee insurance coverage and risk mitigation strategies

HR & Compensation (Indirect Support)

  • Provide financial input on manpower planning and compensation structures

Requirements

  • Minimum 10–15 years of progressive finance leadership experience within marine, maritime, or related industries

  • At least 5 years in a senior finance leadership role (CFO / Finance Director preferred)

  • Strong knowledge of Singapore financial regulations, tax, and corporate governance

  • Singapore Citizen or Permanent Resident

  • Willing to travel regionally when required
