Your New Organisation

The International Solar Alliance (ISA) is an international organisation, co-founded by France and India. The ISA is a 112 member-state organisation, headquartered in Gurgaon, National Capital Region of India. At ISA, we are inspired by the thought of easing solar deployment globally. We are transforming the energy sector from fossil based to a zero-carbon solar energy source. We are establishing a dedicated platform of cooperation among solar rich countries where the global community, including bilateral and multilateral organizations, corporates, industry, and other stakeholders, can make a positive contribution to the solar energy transition. We are helping our Member States meet their energy needs in a safe, convenient, affordable, equitable and sustainable manner.

Your New Role

Reporting to the Chief of Unit, Knowledge Management & Capacity Building or a designated officer, this newly created position brings with it all from being ISAs lead database visionary to the real time data guru. You will hold accountability for enterprise data management, including shaping the data domain for the ISA at an enterprise architecture level. You will work closely with ISAs stakeholders, the KMID, the IT teams and others in the tech and architecture practices to ensure ISA has sound, quality, agile and fit for purpose database solutions 

Your Broader Scope of Work (but not limited to)

Define and support the delivery of ISAs enterprise data technology roadmap this will be part of the overall roadmap to deliver great data experiences for ISA (and other stakeholders)

Regularly maintain and communicate up-to-date knowledge of approaches, technology standards, energy industry trends, the need for skills-change, and emerging technologies within ISAs area of expertise;

Regularly maintain/support effective data governance policies, procedures, standards, and guidelines.

Leverage the latest technologies, to design best-in-class, scalable, flexible and secure data architecture environment.

Education

Ideally a minimum of Bachelors degree in either Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related field.

Additional Training/certified programs in application designing, data development, systems analysis and technology architectures will be well regarded.

What you will need to succeed

We really want to speak with people who have real world experience in implementing data applications & data use cases. Additionally, you should be able to clearly showcase how you have;

Worked for at least 5 years, in a changing environment and adjusted quickly to re-aligned priorities while maintaining a view to the future and overarching principles of the data eco-system (ideally within the renewable energy sector)

Conveyed information to, and influenced, those in the wider architecture practice and business stakeholders, including senior leadership

Built and maintained constructive, collaborative relationships with key stakeholders

Demonstrable experience in designing, architecting and implementing large scale data processing, storage and distribution systems

An excellent ability to design complex Enterprise Data models/ Schemes/Flows and Pipelines

Strong skills and experience in data governance, data quality, data integration and data security

A good understanding of traditional database technologies and large-scale enterprise systems (e.g. SAP ERP) and also the latest cloud based data technologies (e.g. AWS solutions)

Outstanding communication skills, and the ability to influence, and build strong relationships and trust with technical experts, and senior business stakeholders.

Languages & IT skills

The role demands substantial writing and verbal communications skills. As English is the official and working language of the Organization, excellent command of both written and spoken English is required. Knowledge of other languages (i.e., French, Spanish and Arabic) would be an advantage.

Satisfactory skills in Outlook, MS Office products, and experience with the various ERP systems required to manage this role is required.

Your Place of Work (if successful with the recruitment process)

This role will be based out of the Secretariat of the ISA, Gurgaon, Haryana State, or at the ISAs facility in Delhi, India or any other facility deemed necessary by the ISA.
