Head of Cloud Engineering

Our client is a fast‑growing technology company building modern infrastructure for AI‑driven applications. As the organization scales globally, we're looking for a Senior Engineering Manager to lead Cloud Engineering teams, strengthen delivery operations, and ensure predictable, high‑quality execution across a rapidly evolving environment.

Your Impact:

Delivery & Execution

• Own delivery predictability and execution for one or more Cloud Engineering teams
• Drive planning, prioritization, and alignment in partnership with Tech Leads
• Ensure teams operate with focus, clarity, and consistent delivery momentum

Engineering Operations

• Lead core engineering rituals including planning, onboarding, and execution follow‑up
• Use engineering metrics (flow efficiency, cycle time, WIP, DORA) to guide decisions and improve throughput
• Reduce delivery friction by addressing dependencies, bottlenecks, and operational noise

Team Leadership

• Mentor engineers and Tech Leads, fostering ownership, autonomy, and accountability
• Strengthen engineering culture, communication, and collaboration during a phase of rapid growth
• Support incident operations, follow‑ups, and continuous improvement initiatives

Cross‑Functional Alignment

• Act as a bridge between Engineering, Product, Customer Support, and other stakeholders
• Ensure smooth coordination across teams and alignment on priorities
• Help scale processes and systems 

What background do you bring along

• 6+ years of experience in software engineering, including 2+ years in engineering management
• Strong understanding of modern software delivery and cloud‑native systems
• Proven ability to improve delivery predictability and team execution
• Experience using metrics to guide decisions and drive process improvements
• Excellent communication skills and a pragmatic, execution‑oriented mindset

Nice to Have

• Experience leading platform, infrastructure, or cloud engineering teams
• Familiarity with incident management and operational workflows
• Background in SaaS, developer tooling, or systems‑level products
• Experience in fast‑growing or post‑Series A/B environments
