Chief Financial Officer (CFO) – Swiss SME

We are urgently seeking a CFO to join a dynamic Swiss SME in Zug. The CFO is responsible for full financial stewardship of the company, combining hands‑on operational execution with strategic financial planning. The position requires strong command of Swiss GAAP, fluency in German/English, tax compliance, and the ability to operate effectively in a lean, entrepreneurial structure.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead all financial operations, including accounting, controlling, budgeting, and reporting
• Ensure compliance with Swiss GAAP and Swiss tax regulations
• Oversee cash flow, liquidity planning, and financial risk management
• Manage external partners (auditors, fiduciaries, tax advisors, banks)
• Drive financial planning and forecasting processes
• Implement and optimize ERP/finance systems 
• Support strategic decision‑making for the holding and its subsidiaries
• Provide financial insights to the leadership team and board
• Maintain accurate, timely financial statements and management reports
• Balance operational tasks with strategic oversight in a small‑team environment

Required Qualifications

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
• Minimum 5 years of progressive finance or accounting experience in Switzerland
• Strong knowledge of Swiss GAAP
• Strong knowledge of Swiss tax regulations
• Fluency in German and English is required
• Valid right to work and reside in Switzerland
• Hands‑on mindset with the ability to balance operational and strategic tasks

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in SME or start‑up environments
• Professional certifications (Swiss Federal Diploma, dipl. Steuerexperte, ACCA, CPA, etc.)
