We are supporting a large, internationally respected organization operating within a highly complex enterprise IT landscape in their search for a SAP Basis Engineer.

This is a key technical role focused on the evolution and cloud transformation of mission-critical SAP platforms, with strong emphasis on S/4HANA and RISE with SAP.

The Role

As a SAP Basis Engineer, you will take technical ownership of a sophisticated SAP environment and play a central role in its transformation toward modern cloud and hybrid architectures.

You will combine operational excellence with architectural thinking.

Key Responsibilities

• Technical ownership of productive, business-critical SAP systems
• Operation and continuous improvement of SAP S/4HANA platforms
• Active involvement in RISE with SAP initiatives
• Supporting and steering cloud & hybrid transformations
• Planning and executing SAP cloud migrations (incl. cutover & hypercare)
• Ensuring high availability, performance, security & compliance
• Defining and optimizing SAP cloud operating models
• Working closely with hyperscalers, SAP, and external partners
• Driving automation, monitoring and standardization initiatives
• Contributing to long-term SAP platform strategy

Your Profile

• Degree in Computer Science, Systems Engineering or comparable background
• Several years of experience in SAP Basis operations
• Experience managing enterprise-scale SAP environments
• Strong knowledge of:
• SAP S/4HANA architectures
• Cloud & hybrid SAP landscapes
• RISE with SAP (advantageous)
• Hands-on experience with SAP cloud migrations
• Solid understanding of availability, performance, security & compliance in cloud environments
• Experience working with hyperscalers and service providers
• Fluent in English, German language skills are a big plus
