About the Role
We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Developer (WordPress & Front-End) to join the development team. You will build sophisticated, high-performance websites, manage multiple projects, and create custom solutions that balance technical excellence with usability. This role also involves mentoring junior developers, improving processes, and ensuring top-quality standards across all projects.
Responsibilities
Development & Implementation
· Build conversion-optimized, high-performance websites using WordPress themes
· Manage 2–4 concurrent website projects from initial build through post-launch edits
· Develop custom templates and functionality to meet client requirements
· Transform complex Figma designs into pixel-perfect, responsive WordPress experiences
· Handle client request tickets, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions
· Execute edits and refinements post-launch to ensure client satisfaction
Collaboration & Strategy
· Partner with Design, Project Management, Account Management, SEO, and Social teams
· Collaborate with other developers to ensure code quality and consistency
· Take ownership of technical deliverables and communicate proactively
Quality, Optimization & Efficiency
· Establish and maintain rigorous QA processes and testing protocols
· Identify inefficiencies in workflows and propose solutions
· Contribute to theme library enhancements and reusable components
· Mentor junior developers through code reviews and knowledge sharing
· Stay current with WordPress updates and modern development practices
· Champion coding standards, documentation, and best practices
Requirements
· 6+ years of experience in WordPress and front-end development (agency experience preferred)
Languages (Expert-Level Proficiency Required):
· PHP, CSS, HTML, Bootstrap (expert-level)
· JavaScript, jQuery (high proficiency)
WordPress Development:
· Expert knowledge of WordPress fundamentals (loops, hooks, filters, shortcodes, custom post types)
· Gutenberg editor and block development
· Strong understanding of WordPress database system and troubleshooting
Plugins & Tools:
· Advanced Custom Fields (ACF)
· Gravity Forms (advanced use, conditional logic, custom integrations)
· Yoast SEO
· Performance optimization tools (e.g., NitroPack)
Hosting & Environments:
· Experience with WP Engine or similar platforms
· Comfortable with backups, error logs, and domain management
Design Implementation:
· Expert-level translation of Figma designs into responsive WordPress components
· Strong knowledge of accessibility, performance, and cross-browser compatibility
Collaboration Tools:
· Slack, Zoom, project management tools (ClickUp or similar)
· Google Workspace tools
· Adobe Creative Suite (preferred but not required)
Bonus Skills:
· Experience with React or Vue.js
· Familiarity with build tools (Webpack, npm)
· Knowledge of CRO and data-driven design decisions
· Experience with automated testing and CI workflows
Portfolio Required:
Examples of WordPress sites showcasing custom functionality and complex design implementation.
