About the Role
As a Production Designer, you will prepare print‑ready files for packaging, catalogs, in‑store displays, and other physical products. Youll work closely with the creative and production teams, ensuring every file meets print standards with accuracy and consistency. This role is perfect for someone who loves the details, understands print processes, and enjoys taking a project from design to final production.
Responsibilities
- You're thoughtful and detail-oriented + You're a wiz when it comes to printing. You'll be helping to create production-ready files for physical products, which means things need to be accurate. Really accurate. You know how to prepare photos, graphics, and type for a variety of print production standards. You sweat the little stuff and enjoy taking a project to completion from design to print. Your file set up is an art form in itself.
- You're eager to learn and also eager to contribute. You'll be working with our Creative Director, Production Team Lead, and the rest of our design team. You read that sentence and think - "hot diggity, I can't wait to learn from them." You'll be given a lot of responsibility in a short amount of time, and you're excited by the opportunity to be a critical part of the product development process.
- You're fast. We're one of today's fastest growing brands, and we're keen to keep up the pace. We launch anywhere from 3-10 products a month. You understand that one day's delay can cause much longer than one day's delay in the overall launch process, given that we're manufacturing a physical product with teammates all over the world. You turnaround revisions quickly without compromising quality.
Requirements
Essential Technical Knowledge:
- Ability to prepare files for print-ready manufacturing
- Knowledge of different printing processes such as digital, offset, and flexography
- Familiarity with various types of substrates and finishing techniques
- Ability to adapt layouts while maintaining consistency and alignment with our standards
- Clear understanding of color spaces and profiles
- High attention to detail and ability to follow SOPs
- Maintains high production standards for all assets
Software Proficiency:
- Advanced skills in Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop
- Strong grasp of Figma
- Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks, Rhino, Fusion 360) is a plus
