About TalentCross

TalentCross connects top Latin American tech talent with high-growth US-based companies. We specialize in placing skilled professionals in remote roles where they can make a real impact — without relocating. When you work with TalentCross, you get full support throughout the hiring process and beyond.

About the Client

Our client is a US-based Salesforce consulting partner that works with nonprofits, philanthropic organizations, and small businesses. They help mission-driven organizations turn complex data into clear, actionable insights using Salesforce and Tableau. They are a small, collaborative, woman-owned and minority-owned practice with a big heart for social impact — and they are growing fast.

About the Role

We are looking for a skilled Salesforce Developer and Administrator to join our client's team on a fully remote basis. This is a dual-function role — you will handle both hands-on technical development (Apex, Lightning Web Components, API integrations) and day-to-day Salesforce administration (configuration, automation, user management). You will work directly with nonprofit clients, helping them get the most out of their Salesforce platforms.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys both building custom solutions and managing platforms — and who cares about using technology to support organizations doing meaningful work.

Responsibilities

Development

  • Design and develop custom Apex classes, triggers, and test classes following best practices
  • Create and maintain Lightning Web Components (LWC) and Aura components
  • Build complex integrations using REST/SOAP APIs and other integration tools
  • Develop custom solutions when standard functionality doesn't meet requirements
  • Debug and optimize existing code for better performance
  • Implement and maintain continuous integration/deployment processes

Administration

  • Manage configuration, implementation, and maintenance of Salesforce platforms
  • Design and build complex Flow automations and process builders
  • Setup/maintain user roles, security settings, profiles, and permission sets
  • Configure and customize page layouts, record types, and validation rules
  • Provide technical support and training to end users
  • Manage data quality, including imports, exports, and maintenance

Project Work

  • Collaborate with project team on solution design and implementation
  • Participate in discovery meetings and support requirements gathering
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation
  • Support systems test planning and execution
  • Communicate regularly with clients and team members
  • Provide strategic technical recommendations based on best practices

Requirements

  • 5+ years of Salesforce configuration experience
  • 3+ years of Apex development experience
  • Demonstrable knowledge of Salesforce NPSP and Nonprofit Cloud
  • Proficiency in Lightning Web Components (LWC) development
  • Experience with REST/SOAP APIs and integration patterns
  • Experience with version control systems (preferably Git)
  • At least 3 years of consulting or business analysis experience
  • Salesforce certifications (Platform Developer I, Administrator) preferred
  • Working knowledge of nonprofit sector challenges
  • Experience with agile development methodologies
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple projects
  • Proficiency in Google Workspace tools
  • Experience with ClickUp (preferred) and Slack
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

You Will Thrive in This Role If You Have

  • A passion for using technology to help organizations improve
  • A working knowledge and genuine interest in the nonprofit sector and its unique challenges
  • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines, handle and prioritize simultaneous requests, and manage laterally and upwards toward successful project completion
  • Proficiency in Google Workspace tools (Google Docs, Google Sheets, etc.)
  • An interest in working in a small, collaborative, and supportive team structure
  • Proficiency in ClickUp as a project management tool (a plus)
  • Proficiency in using Slack for internal and client communication
