About the Role

We are looking for a Video Tutorial Editor with strong video editing skills and a keen eye for detail. This is a part‑time role requiring only 10 hours per week (40 hours monthly), with the potential to move into a full‑time position in the future.

Responsibilities

  • Edit video content for use on a custom learning platform
  • Work closely with the video recorder and tutorial scripter to ensure concise, easy-to-understand content
  • Cut, trim, and color correct footage to match brand standards and style guides
  • Utilize transitions, text, and other visual effects to enhance video content
  • Manage project timelines and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Watch raw content, pull out the best takes, and ensure clarity of instructions
  • Maintain open communication with the tutorial creation team and attend relevant standup meetings

Role Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in video editing
  • Proficient in Adobe Premiere Pro
  • Strong understanding of best practices for producing tutorial videos with spoken instructions
  • Familiar with optimizing content for vertical orientation
  • Familiar with motion graphics, visual effects, and on-screen text
  • Ability to work with loosely defined brand guidelines to create succinct learning content
  • Ability to manage multiple projects with tight deadlines in a remote startup environment
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Experience working with spreadsheets to track edits and revisions
  • Experience with Airtable preferred
  • Interest in optimizing video editing and collaboration processes
  • Portfolio showcasing tutorial videos, learning content, and vertical video
  • Crochet experience or interest in learning crochet is highly desired
