Job Vacancy: QA Executive (Food Manufacturing)

Company: Soy Sauce Factory

Location: Perai, Penang

2463, Solok Perusahaan 1, Prai Industrial Estate, 13600 Perai, Pulau Pinang

Working Days: 5.5 days/week

Working Hours:

  • Monday – Friday: 8.00am – 5.00pm
  • Saturday: 8.30am – 12.40pm

Reporting To: General Manager

Job Responsibilities

1. Quality & Food Safety Control

  • Handle daily QA activities for food production.
  • Ensure products comply with GMP, HACCP, and food safety requirements.
  • Maintain and update QA procedures, SOPs, and records.

2. Production Quality Monitoring

  • Monitor raw materials, in-process production, and finished products.
  • Ensure hygiene, cleanliness, and SOP compliance on the production floor.
  • Identify quality issues and work with production to resolve them.

3. Testing, Inspection & Documentation

  • Arrange product testing and review test results.
  • Maintain proper QA records, reports, and traceability documents.
  • Ensure calibration and proper use of testing equipment.

4. Audit & Compliance

  • Prepare for and support internal, customer, and authority audits.
  • Follow up and close audit findings.
  • Ensure compliance with food regulations and customer requirements.

5. Quality Issue Handling & Improvement

  • Investigate defects, complaints, and non-conformances.
  • Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
  • Track quality performance and suggest improvements.

6. Training & Coordination

  • Conduct basic QA, GMP, and food safety training for staff.
  • Work closely with Production, Warehouse, and Management teams.

7. Reporting & Responsibility

  • Report QA matters directly to the General Manager.
  • Act as the main person-in-charge for QA matters.
  • Highlight quality risks and recommend actions to management.

Requirements

  • Degree holders, preferably with a background in the food industry.
  • Experience in QA/QC, food safety, or food manufacturing is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of GMP, HACCP, and food safety management systems.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
  • Detail-oriented, disciplined, and able to work independently.
  • Good communication skills for cross-department coordination.
  • Chinese and Malay candidates are especially encouraged to apply.

Salary & Benefits

Basic Salary: RM 4,000 – RM 6,000
