Freelancer Caregiver

9am-7pm Monday to Friday

1. Personal Care / Activities of Daily Living (ADL)

  • Assist with bathing, grooming, toileting, and personal hygiene

  • Support with dressing and mobility (walking, wheelchair transfer, bed transfer)

  • Feeding assistance (if required)

2. Health Monitoring & Medication

  • Remind or assist clients to take prescribed medication

  • Monitor and record vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, pulse, etc.)

  • Observe and report any changes in health condition to family or supervisor

3. Nutritional Support

  • Prepare or heat up simple meals according to dietary requirements

  • Assist with feeding for clients who are unable to feed themselves

  • Ensure hydration and proper nutrition

4. Household Support

  • Perform light housekeeping related to the client (laundry, tidying, changing bedsheets)

  • Maintain a safe and hygienic environment (clean up spills, sanitise equipment, etc.)

5. Companionship & Emotional Support

  • Provide social interaction, conversation, and emotional encouragement

  • Accompany client for walks or simple recreational activities

  • Engage in basic cognitive stimulation (reading, simple games, memory activities)

6. Medical & Appointment Assistance

  • Accompany clients to hospital/clinic appointments

  • Assist with transport and mobility during outings

  • Help communicate client needs to healthcare professionals (if required)

7. Specialised Care (where applicable)

  • Support for dementia, Alzheimers, stroke, or bedridden clients

  • Wound care, tube feeding, suctioning, or other nursing-related tasks (only if caregiver is trained/qualified)

  • Night caregiving (monitoring sleep, repositioning, fall prevention)

8. Reporting & Communication

  • Update family or agency about daily care activities and clients condition

  • Record tasks completed, health observations, and any incidents

  • Communicate promptly if emergency or unusual changes occur
