JOB ORDER – SENIOR THERAPY ASSOCIATE (Occupational Therapy)

1. Employer Details: NUHS (Public Healthcare Cluster) - Deployment hospital may include Ng Teng Fong General Hospital / Jurong Community Hospital. Client will decide on the deployment location based on the interview. (Please do not advertise the client name on any social media platform; you may list it only as "Singapore Opportunity," as this is sensitive.)

2. Number of Vacancies: 6

3. Salary Package: $2500 - $3200 (depending on interview performance and experience); 2-year contracts subject to HOD approval

4. Allowance: $500 housing allowance provided

5. Benefits: 15 days of Annual Leave, flight reimbursement provided (if applicable), and AWS & Performance Bonus provided, subject to company/individual performance

6. Work hours: Office Hours with 1 half Saturday per 4 weeks

7. Requirements:

Degree in the field of Occupational Therapy from a recognised WFOT accredited porgramme OR a Post-Graduate Master's degree in Occupational Therapy with a relevant bachelor's degree in health sciences (https://wfot.org/education/wfot-approved-education-programmes) and must not be discontinued. Employers may require candidates to take an internal English test. A professional English test is not required at this stage, but it may be required later on when advised by the employer

Prefer candidates with a minimum of 2 years of experience, from an acute hospital setting with at least 500 beds

PC literacy is a must, along with strong communication and interpersonal skills, the ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team, and organizational and time management skills.

8. Job Description:

To assist in clinical duties as listed below to facilitate the Therapist in carrying out their work

Patient Assessment and Monitoring - Take patients' vitals, administer questionnaires, conduct basic case history taking, screenings and clinical assessments, and monitor patient progress

Therapeutic Equipment and Treatment Setup - Assist in setting up patients on therapeutic equipment and facilitate various treatment modalities under therapist guidance

Patient Mobility and Exercise Training - Assist patients with mobilisation, therapeutic activities, exercises, retraining, and provide transfer, gait, prosthetic and mobility aids training

Orthotics and Splint Management - Apply orthotics effectively, fabricate advanced splints, and make necessary modifications and adjustments to existing splints

Independent Programme Delivery - Lead group therapy sessions independently and run therapy programmes, including pre-discharge training at Lifehub and Mobility Park

Patient and Caregiver Support - Educate patients and caregivers on therapy topics, assist with language translation, prepare diet consistencies, and identify clinical issues for therapist feedback

Documentation and Communication - Document relevant information accurately on electronic documentation with therapist co-signature where necessary and report patient-related clinical matters to the therapist
