Freight Auditor

The Freight Auditor is responsible for a variety of tasks, including reviewing and auditing freight invoices, 3pl warehouse invoices, processes and tracks refunds for claims, and assist Logistics Manager with any other logistics related issues.

Responsibilities

• Audit and analyze all logistics (transportation and 3pl warehouse) billable vendor invoices in a timely manner. This includes reviewing invoices to ensure appropriate information is given and all agreed expectations are met.
• Investigate issues on pending invoices that may not comply with client billing guidelines and make recommendation for resolution
• Maintain service provider contract files and perform audits as assigned
• Process pay for carriers, pick-up, delivery or handling of freight
• Audit invoices against purchase orders, research discrepancies,
• Audit/dispute/make aware of invoices for any changes that occurred after the shipment was received from the carrier or delivered to the customer
• Provide answers and resolution to Logistics Manager for routing issues and concerns related to invoice auditing.

What are we Looking for?

• Two years of experience in auditing experience is required.
• Knowledge of general transportation (US domestic and international modes of transport) and 3rd party warehouse procedures, rules and regulations is an asset
• MS Office expertise,
• Outstanding attention to detail
• Strong analytical, problem solving and negotiation skills
