About the job Business Continuity Management Consultant
Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop and Maintain BCPs:
Design, develop, and update business continuity plans (BCPs) for all organizational units.
Conduct regular reviews and updates to ensure plans remain current and effective.
Coordinate business impact analyses (BIAs) to identify critical functions and processes.
2. Documentation:
Develop, document, and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) and policies related to business continuity.
Ensure all documentation is comprehensive, clear, and accessible to relevant stakeholders.
Work closely with department heads to gather information and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
3. Training and Awareness:
Conduct training sessions and workshops to educate employees on business continuity plans and their roles during a disruption.
Develop communication materials and conduct regular drills and simulations.
4. Risk Assessment and Mitigation:
Identify potential risks and vulnerabilities that could impact business operations.
Recommend and implement strategies to mitigate identified risks.
Collaborate with risk management and compliance teams to ensure alignment with regulatory requirements.
5. Incident Response:
Play a key role in the organizations incident response efforts, providing guidance and support during emergencies.
Assist in coordinating recovery activities and ensuring timely communication with stakeholders.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Risk Management, or a related field.
Professional certification in Business Continuity Management (e.g., CBCP, ISO 22301 Lead Implementer) preferred.
Experience in developing and implementing business continuity plans and policies.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Additional Information:
This position may require occasional travel to other company sites or for training purposes.
The role involves collaborating with various departments, including IT, operations, and risk management.
