Job Summary
This position is responsible for crafting HR strategies aligned to the CBL TJT business strategy and implementation of the same based on Groups HR policies. The role will be expected to implement integrated HR strategies in the areas of employer brand building & talent acquisition, development, engagement, performance management and total rewards through robust processes, in order to meet current and future human capital needs to drive the business agenda. Some areas of the role will involve direct responsibility and decision making while some areas of the role will be responsible for execution of strategies which are guided by functional head.
Duties and Responsibilities
Following areas, the HR Manager will be directly responsible to strategize and execute:
- Attracting, retaining and developing the human resources to deliver business results.
- Understanding the organizational culture required to achieve business objectives and design interventions to align the culture.
- Be the custodian of values and code of conduct and steer targeted programs to instill CBL values in the organization.
- Understand the critical organizational competencies and design organizational wide programmes to enhance the competitive advantage.
- Understand the value creating levers of the business and most critical values creating roles and ensure rigorous succession management process to minimize succession risks.
- Manage HR budget & relevant employee data bases to support HR services
- Lead employee engagement and internal communication related activities.
- Manage employee engagement surveys and required interventions to improve employee engagement to drive sustainable growth agenda of the business Administration of Employee Relations, grievance handling and Discipline Management policies and practices to foster the desired relationships while maintaining required behavioral standards.
- Seek, engage and initiate organization wide learning and development activities.
- Overlook Cluster Administration & security functions to ensure smooth running of the Cluster and manage
- Outsource service providers
Following areas, the HR Manager will execute based on guidelines from functional head:
- Provide sound advice to the Operations head in all aspects of HR within the cluster in line with Group HR processes.
- Manpower Planning & Recruitment to have right people at right positions having regard to structure, numbers, competencies, skills and experience to fulfill both short term and long term business requirements.
- Managing reward & recognition interventions for motivating the human resources to deliver business results.
- Managing the process of Performance Management for the human resources in order to ensure objective assessment and evaluation of performance against objectives and determination of training needs against areas of performance improvement and achievement of professional aspirations.
- Talent Management & Succession Planning to ensure retention and developing key talent and succession bench strength.
- Preparation and execution of Training & Development plan for the Cluster to build a committed and competent team.
Following areas the HR Manager will provide support to the functional head in implementing:
- Overall responsible for People & Culture within the cluster through robust HR strategies aligned to overall Cluster business strategy and corporate/ group HR priorities.
- Ensure clear standardized HR processes across the cluster and time to time audit for compliance and provide necessary guidance to the team.

- Demonstrated evidence of complex problem handling and influencing at senior level.
- Excellent written/verbal communication skills in English
Education & Experience
- Degree/ full qualification in management/ Human Resource or a related field
- Masters Degree in Human Resource/ Business Management from a recognized institute would be advantageous
- Min 7 years of relevant post qualifying experience with at least 2-3 years as Manager HR in a similar size manufacturing organization
