Job Summary

This position is responsible for supporting business performance through high-quality financial decision-making and the effective management of costs, budgets, and investments. The role will be expected to analyze monthly performance, prepare accurate management reports, and provide insights to drive improvements across operations. It will also involve direct responsibility for areas such as product pricing, cost control, and inventory management, while other aspects of the role will focus on executing strategies guided by senior management. In addition, the position will contribute to governance and risk management in capital expenditure projects and integrate industry best practices to ensure continuous improvement within the Finance function.


Duties and Responsibilities

Following areas, the Management Accountant will be directly responsible to strategize and execute:

  • Collaborate with management and stakeholders to enhance business performance through high-quality financial decisions. 
  • Analyze monthly performance, communicate insights, and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Share industry best practices and external insights to drive measurable improvements.
  • Prepare and control costs, identify cost-saving opportunities, and manage inventory.
  • Ensure timely and accurate submission of management reports, and coordinate product pricing and post-review evaluations. 
  • Work with departments to develop budgets and forecasts, monitor performance, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Oversee investment management, focusing on capital expenditure projects, governance, and risk management.
  • Integrate innovative ideas and best practices into the Finance department for continuous improvement.
  • Undertake additional responsibilities to support service delivery and development.
    

Preferred Qualifications

Knowledge:

  • Financial management principles, cost control, and budgeting practices
  • Governance, risk management, and capital expenditure processes
  • ERP systems (SAP preferred) and their applicability in manufacturing/export environments
  • Industry best practices in manufacturing and export operations
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze complex financial data and influence decision-making at senior level
  • Excellent written/verbal communication skills in English

Education & Experience

  • Fully qualified or finalist in CIMA / CA / ACCA
  • Degree in Accountancy, Finance, or Management; a Masters degree in Finance/Business Management would be advantageous
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant post-qualifying experience in a similar capacity, preferably in manufacturing/export organizations
  • Prior exposure to ERP systems and financial reporting in dynamic business environments
