Senior Test Development Engineer, NPI (Bayan Lepas, Penang)

Company Background

Our client is a fast-growing global semiconductor company specialising in power management and analog IC solutions. The company supports a wide range of industries including cloud computing, telecom infrastructure, automotive, industrial, and consumer electronics. As they continue to grow, they are seeking for a Senior Test Development Engineer to support new product development and production release activities. This role focuses on ATE test solution development, test program coding, debugging, characterization, and production support for analog and mixed-signal power ICs.

Responsibilities

• Design component-level circuits for precision parametric measurement and dynamic signal analysis
• Develop automated test system software for analog and mixed-signal integrated circuits
• Participate in all phases of product development including:
  • Design for testability (DFT)
  • IOS
  • Test hardware and software design
  • Hands-on debugging, correlation, characterization, and production release
• Apply test engineering principles to solve complex and high-impact test challenges
• Collaborate with IC designers and global test engineering teams

Requirements

• Bachelors Degree or higher in Electrical & Electronics Engineering or related disciplines
• 3–5 years of experience in power management IC testing, with strong exposure to NPD/NPI test development
• Solid understanding of ATE test development processes and qualification criteria
• Hands-on experience with ATE platforms such as:
  • Teradyne ETS-88 (preferred), ETS-364, J750
  • Changchuan CTA8280F (preferred), CTA8290D (preferred)
• Familiarity with Cadence schematic tools and PCB layout experience is an added advantage
• Willing to be based in Penang and travel to China and global subcontractor sites as required
• Good written and verbal communication skills in English and Chinese
