About the job Technical Engineer (Mechanical) - Data Centre

Responsibilities:

  • Report directly to the Manager of the Technical Service Department.
  • Perform preventive and remedial maintenance for mechanical systems and equipment in data centre.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to cooling and mechanical systems in the data center.
  • Respond promptly to any mechanical equipment breakdowns, including during non-office hours, weekends, and public holidays.
  • Assist Senior Technical Engineer, Assistant Technical Service Manager & Technical Service Manager in services such as: 
    • Thermal scanning
    • CRAC unit maintenance
    • Split Unit Air-conditioner maintenance
    • Mechanical support for power shutdowns and load testing.
  • Standby support for mechanical-related activities such as:
    • Cooling system adjustments during load migrations, 
    • HVAC system interventions.
  • Install, test, and commission mechanical systems such as: 
    • CRAC units, 
    • Split Unit Air-conditioners, 
    • Cooling systems (DX system, water cooling system, & Chill water-cooling system), 
    • Fire suppression and detection systems.
  • Continuously learn and master mechanical systems and data centre related environmental systems to support preventive and corrective maintenance.
  • Prepare and update all related maintenance documentation and service reports.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by the Technical Service Team Lead & Technical Service Manager

Requirements:

  • Candidates must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or a relevant professional certification.
  • At least 2 years of working experience in the related field.
  • Experience involved in preventive, predictive maintenance planning, scheduling, execution and manning.
  • Able to contribute effective solutions to solve issues.
  • Positive and aggressive working attitude, able to think critically, a good team player and able to work independently.
  • Willing to travel to client's plant around Klang Valley.
  • Working days: Monday - Fri (9am - 6.30pm)
