About the Role

We are seeking an entrepreneurial and high-performing Business Development Manager to lead the launch and development of a new direct-to-market business in Malaysia within the professional beauty and skincare industry.

This is a builder role, ideal for a hands-on commercial leader who thrives in creating new business, driving key account sales, and establishing strong market presence across the salon, medispas, and aesthetic clinic channel.

You will have regional support while being fully responsible for building and executing the Malaysia market strategy from the ground up.

Key Responsibilities

1. Business & Sales Leadership

  • Own Malaysia sales performance, including revenue and growth targets
  • Develop and execute go-to-market strategy for professional skincare products
  • Drive direct sales with key accounts including salon chains, medispas, and aesthetic clinics
  • Manage pricing, trade terms, and promotions to support premium positioning

2. Market Development & Team Building

  • Build and develop the local sales and education team
  • Establish a high-performance, results-driven commercial culture
  • Set KPIs, incentives, and performance frameworks for the team

3. Brand Representation & Education

  • Act as key brand representative in Malaysia
  • Support client training and education programs with regional teams
  • Represent the brand at industry events, exhibitions, and trade shows
  • Provide market intelligence and competitor insights to regional HQ

4. Operations & Coordination

  • Oversee local sales operations, inventory planning, and demand forecasting
  • Coordinate with regional supply chain teams for stock availability
  • Ensure compliance with local regulations and internal policies

Requirement

  • 7–10+ years of experience in business development or sales leadership in the beauty, skincare, or aesthetics industry
  • Strong network within salons, medispas, and aesthetic clinics in Malaysia
  • Proven track record in new business development and key account acquisition
  • Strong hunter mindset with entrepreneurial drive
  • Experience in team building and commercial leadership
  • Strong understanding of P&L, forecasting, and sales strategy
  • Independent, self-driven, and comfortable building a new market
