Project Manager ( Oil & Gas ) - Based in KL (MNC)

Company Background

We are representing our client an international multinational full pipeline welding services company in which they plan, design, manage and provide fully integrated welding solutions for operations on land and at sea.

Currently our established client is looking for a result-oriented candidate with extensive experience in project management for the Project Manager position based in KL.

• 5 working days (Mon-Fri - Flexible working hours)
• 13th month salary
• Performance bonus

Job Summary

The Project Manager oversees managing and coordinating all project phases both internally (relationships with Welding Engineers, Project Support, Logistic etc.) and externally (relationships with customers and sub-contractors).

Main Responsibilities

• Health, Safety and Environmental requirements shall be met in all activities. You are responsible for ensuring that you are working safely, that you have the appropriate tools and equipment for the job, and that you protect the environment and fellow employees. You shall take this responsibility seriously and work towards continual improvement.
• Managing the relationship with the client to ensure that all aspects of the contract are respected.
• Organising the feedback on the projects to the Project Department Head and other relevant functional managers. This includes the completion of all the reports necessary at the regional and Group level.
• Ensuring the project respects the health & safety standards required either by the customer or company, whichever is the higher.
• Monitor the project costs to ensure the profitability of the overall project and the reduction or elimination of variable costs.
• Responds to client requests for additional work and ensures that the relevant steps are followed to ensure that any variation orders are completed on time and within budget.
• Direct and manage all activities of the project team and on-site personnel, ensuring that staff is qualified and competent, properly coached, given the opportunity to develop and continually motivated to handle the demands of their jobs and achieve their objectives.
• Liaise with all the support functions before and during the project to ensure they have all the relevant information to be able to provide full and timely support.

Requirements

• Min Diploma/Degree in Engineering, preferably in Mechanical/Mechatronics Engineering. Possess Welding Processional Certification will be an added value.
• Min 5 years' experience in solid project management within the oil and gas industries.
• Experience in commercial such as contract negotiation with client will be an added advantage
• Proven operational experienec and sucess within an international environment, strong in customer service.
• Strong project management skills with good teamwork
• Excellent communication skills and demonstates intercultural adaptability and sensitivity.
• Strong analytical skills: Attention to detail
• Display excellent interpersonal savvy and business acumente
• Must be willing to be based in KL.
