A stable, well-established German industrial company headquartered in Solingen, operating with high product quality standards and strong operational roots. The organization is modernizing its finance function and strengthening financial steering across both the Solingen headquarters and the Weißenburg plant.
Location: On-site in Solingen, Germany, with up to 1 day home office per week and occasional travel (~10%) to the Weißenburg facility.
The Role
We're looking for a Finance Team Lead who will lead and further develop the finance function. In this role, you will ensure financial transparency, solid reporting, and effective financial processes across the business, while managing and mentoring a small team of two colleagues.

What You'll Do
- Ensure accurate financial steering, reporting, and transparency across the organization
- Lead, coach, and develop the finance team (2 direct reports)
- Maintain and continuously improve finance processes, workflows, and internal controls
- Oversee financial reporting, planning, and cost-related analyses
- Contribute to budgeting, forecasting, and cost accounting
- Support ongoing digitalization and modernization of finance tools and processes
- Collaborate closely with plant and operations teams, especially in Weißenburg
- Coordinate with auditors, tax advisors, and authorities
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal guidelines
What You Bring to the Table
- 35 years of professional experience in finance
- Strong MS Office skills, especially Excel
- Solid experience working with ERP systems
- Fluent German (C1) and practical English skills (B1)
- Self-driven, structured working style with high ownership
- IFRS knowledge and exposure to international consolidation
- Experience in cost accounting, budgeting, forecasting
- Familiarity with finance digitalization projects
- Experience working with auditors, tax advisors, or authorities
- Background in manufacturing or plant environments - nice-to-have
