The Role
We're looking for an AML Specialist to play a key role in ensuring the crypto exchange meets MiCA and Czech AML requirements. This is a hands-on role where you'll handle onboarding, transaction monitoring, and regulatory reporting, with a strong focus on crypto-specific risks.
What You'll Do
- Conduct KYC and AML onboarding checks for retail and institutional clients
- Monitor daily transactions to spot suspicious patterns or red flags
- Escalate high-risk cases and draft STRs for the Financial Analytical Office (FAU)
- Keep client records and internal documentation fully compliant with Czech and EU regulations
- Support ongoing due diligence and periodic risk assessments
- Stay up to date on crypto compliance developments, especially around MiCA and VASP obligations
- Collaborate closely with the compliance and legal teams to keep controls sharp and audit-ready
What You Bring to the Table
- Solid understanding of AML/CFT laws in the Czech Republic and EU (AMLD5/6 level)
- Prior experience in a compliance or AML role in crypto/fintech
- Strong analytical skills and a sharp eye for spotting suspicious activity
- Fluent Czech and professional-level English (spoken and written)
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-responsibility environment
- Genuine interest about crypto and excited to shape a fully regulated exchange as it goes live
- Ability to start asap
