Location: Prague, Czech Republic | First months onsite then hybrid

The Role

We're looking for a hands-on Director (Crypto Asset Service Provider) to lead all things at the company as they prepare to launch a fully regulated crypto exchange. You will be responsible for leading the company's operations, ensuring full regulatory compliance, and representing the company before the Czech National Bank (ČNB) and other authorities.

You'll work closely with compliance and leadership to ensure full alignment with MiCA and DORA requirements. Fluency in Czech is essential, as this is a senior role embedded in both local operations and regulatory communication.

What You'll Do

  • Lead the preparation, submission, and regulatory engagement related to the MiCA license
  • Ensure continuous compliance with all obligations under MiCA, AMLD6, and DORA, including operational resilience, asset segregation, and whitepaper requirements
  • Liaise with ČNB, FAÚ, and other competent authorities on compliance, reporting, and supervision
  • Serve as a statutory executive director under Czech corporate law
  • Ensure the implementation of robust internal controls, governance frameworks, and risk management systems
  • Supervise key functions, including AML/CTF, IT security, customer protection, and complaints handling
  • Oversee delivery of crypto-asset services, including custody, trading, and/or issuance, depending on license scope
  • Collaborate with internal departments (compliance, legal, tech) and third-party service providers
  • Approve policies and procedures to ensure alignment with MiCA and Czech legal requirements

What You Bring to the Table

  • Fluent Czech (mandatory) and strong command of English
  • Proven leadership experience in crypto, fintech, financial services, or regulated sectors
  • Deep knowledge of EU financial regulation, especially MiCA, AML/CTF, and IT risk frameworks
  • Demonstrated experience working with regulators or in license application processes
  • University degree in Law, Finance, Business, or related field; postgraduate qualifications preferred
  • Strong integrity, independence, and strategic acumen
  • Ability to start asap
