Key responsibilities
- Fieldwork and site management: Lead and oversee archaeological fieldwork, including site surveys and excavations. Ensure all activities are recorded precisely, as excavation is destructive.
- Research and analysis: Develop and implement research strategies and analyze artifacts and ecofacts to uncover insights about past civilizations.
- Project management: Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources. This includes preparing reports and presentations of findings.
- Team leadership and training: Mentor and train junior archaeologists, and foster a culture of continuous learning within the team.
- Collaboration: Work with interdisciplinary teams, including historians, conservationists, and local communities, to enhance project impact and community engagement.
