ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

Our client is a well-established international fitness brand preparing to launch and grow in Thailand. They are looking for a hands-on IT professional to support the setup of their Bangkok office and first fitness club. You will work closely with the local Thailand team and Taiwan headquarters to make sure IT systems, equipment, and daily support run smoothly. This is a good opportunity for someone who enjoys practical IT work, solving user issues, coordinating with vendors, and being part of a new business setup from the beginning. You do not need to be an expert in every IT system. The most important things are ownership, clear communication, hands-on troubleshooting, and a positive service mindset.

WHAT WILL YOU DO

IT Setup and Daily Support

  • Support IT setup for the Bangkok office and first fitness club.
  • Help prepare laptops, printers, internet, Wi-Fi, user accounts, and basic office IT equipment.
  • Support users with day-to-day IT issues.
  • Troubleshoot common problems related to computers, printers, network access, Wi-Fi, POS devices, CCTV, and access control.
  • Help make sure systems and equipment are ready before opening.

Coordination with Taiwan HQ

  • Work with Taiwan HQ IT on system rollout, setup instructions, SOPs, and technical support.
  • Share updates on open issues, vendor progress, and site readiness.
  • Escalate technical difficulties to HQ or vendors when needed.
  • Help make HQ systems work smoothly in the Thailand environment.

Vendor and Site Support

  • Coordinate with local vendors for internet, IT equipment, access control, CCTV, and maintenance support.
  • Follow up on vendor work and check completion.
  • Support testing before systems go live.
  • Keep simple records of equipment, access, issues, and support actions.

Post-Launch Support

  • Support the team after the office and club go live.
  • Help solve user issues quickly.
  • Keep IT operations stable.
  • Improve basic documentation and support routines as the business grows.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • Around 3 to 6 years of experience in IT support, IT operations, site IT setup, or system implementation.
  • Experience supporting office users, retail stores, branches, clubs, restaurants, hotels, service businesses, or similar environments.
  • Practical knowledge of laptops, printers, Wi-Fi, routers, switches, user accounts, and basic network troubleshooting.
  • Experience with POS devices, CCTV, access control, or store systems is an advantage.
  • Able to coordinate vendors and follow up until issues are solved.
  • Comfortable working independently in a new setup environment.
  • Good documentation and follow-up habits.
  • Service-minded, practical, calm, and reliable.

LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS

  • Thai is required for working with local users, vendors, and site teams.
  • English is required for communication with Taiwan HQ.
  • Mandarin is a strong advantage because some systems and instructions come from Taiwan HQ.
  • Candidates who communicate in Thai, English, and Mandarin will be prioritized.

Native-level Mandarin is not required. Practical communication is enough. If you understand instructions, ask questions, clarify issues, and coordinate with Mandarin-speaking colleagues, that is already valuable.

THE ROLE IS SUITABLE FOR YOU IF

You have worked in roles such as:

  • IT Support
  • Senior IT Support
  • IT Officer
  • IT Specialist
  • IT Operations Specialist
  • Helpdesk / Service Desk with hands-on support
  • Branch IT Support
  • Retail IT Support
  • Site IT Support
  • Field IT Support
  • POS / CCTV / Access Control Support

This role is especially suitable for someone who enjoys being close to the operation, not only sitting behind a ticketing system.

WHAT MAKES THIS ROLE INTERESTING

  • You join during the Thailand launch stage of an international brand.
  • You become one of the first local IT contacts in Thailand.
  • You gain exposure to office IT, club IT, user support, site setup, vendors, and HQ coordination.
  • You work with Taiwan HQ and gain cross-border experience.
  • Your work will be visible and important from the beginning.
  • As the Thailand business grows, the IT scope has room to grow as well.

Not WHAT THIS ROLE IS NOT

To keep expectations clear:

  • This is not a software development role.
  • This is not a system architecture role.
  • This is not a construction or cabling installation role.
  • This is not a large team management role at the beginning.
  • This is not a role where you need to design every system from scratch.

Taiwan HQ provides the system standards and technical direction. Your role is to help make things work smoothly on the ground in Thailand.

IDEAL WORKING STYLE

The right person is someone who:

  • Takes ownership
  • Follows up properly
  • Communicates clearly
  • Solves practical problems
  • Stays calm when things are busy
  • Works well with users, vendors, and HQ
  • Is flexible during setup or go-live periods
  • Enjoys building something new

APPLICATION NOTE

Mandarin-speaking IT candidates are strongly encouraged to apply, especially those who communicate in Thai, English, and Mandarin. At the same time, the core of this role is still hands-on IT support, site setup, vendor coordination, and reliable day-to-day execution. If you are an IT professional who likes practical work, user support, and being part of a new business launch, this role is worth a conversation.
