Technical Specialist - Power Distribution Systems (LV)

Our client is a global leader in industrial power distribution solutions, specializing in enclosures, bus bar power systems, and cooling solutions that support automation, manufacturing, energy, and IT infrastructure. Their products are trusted by panel builders, system integrators, consultants, and contractors, helping to optimize electrical power distribution for efficiency and safety.

As they continue to grow their presence in Thailand, they are looking for a highly skilled Technical Engineer to support their team in the design and specification of industrial power distribution systems. This role is key to ensuring that components fit seamlessly into panels and systems, and will contribute to technical proposals, tenders, and project specifications.

Your Role

As a Technical Specalist, you will be responsible for creating and managing technical documents, including Panel General Arrangement Drawings, Bill of Materials (BOMs) / Parts List specifications. You will play a critical role in ensuring that the LV Distribution system meets the client requirements and are optimally designed for competitiveness. This involves collaborating with internal teams and external stakeholders to evaluate constraints and determine the feasibility of different solutions, ultimately contributing to the preparation of proposals and tender documents.

This position is ideal for a technical professional with expertise in electrical power distribution systems, including an understanding of the interaction between various components. If you have a keen eye for detail and a strong technical foundation, this role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to the design and specification of cutting-edge industrial power solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and create Bill of Materials (BOMs), specifications, and calculations for power distribution systems (<1kV).
• Work closely with internal engineering teams to evaluate the feasibility and compatibility of different components, ensuring their proper integration into power distribution panels.
• Collaborate with consultants, designers, and contractors to ensure the technical requirements of the company's Modular Bus Bar based Power Distribution systems are met for major industrial projects.
• Develop technical proposals and tender documents that meet client requirements and project specifications.
• Analyze the technical constraints and dimensions of power distribution components, identifying what is possible and proposing solutions that meet project specifications.
• Stay informed of industry trends and market developments to ensure the companys solutions remain competitive.
• Provide technical support for pre-sales activities, including educating clients on the advantages and compatibility of the companys power distribution systems.
• Collaborate with sales and engineering teams to align technical solutions with overall business objectives and customer needs.

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in the design, engineering, or specification of power distribution systems (experience with bus bars is a plus).
• Strong understanding of the technical specification process and the integration of electrical components into power distribution panels.
• Experience in preparing technical proposals, BOMs, and responses to inquiry spec documents.
• Solid understanding of the interaction between components such as bus bars, connectors, ACBs, MCCB, MCBs, Fuses, DOL Contactors and other electrical systems.
• Ability to assess technical constraints and find feasible solutions.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with attention to detail.
• Fluent in Thai (mandatory), with strong proficiency in spoken and written English.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Own a vehicle for site visits and project engagements.
