YOUR ROLE
As a Railway Signalling Principles Tester, you will be responsible for ensuring the principles testing of new and altered signalling systems, contributing to large-scale railway infrastructure projects globally. Working as part of the Engineering team in Bangkok, you will manage the testing process from commissioning through to project completion, ensuring compliance with safety and performance standards.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversee and manage the Principles Testing of signalling systems.
- Ensure that all signalling data and designs are in accordance with industry standards.
- Represent the company at client and contract meetings.
- Undertake testing duties as per your Certificate of Competency and accreditations.
- Identify and allocate competent testing resources for various projects.
- Complete and audit testing documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of testing processes and procedures.
- Provide technical input into scheme development and implementation strategies.
- Mentor and coach junior staff within the testing team.
WHO YOU ARE
- Bachelors degree in a relevant discipline (desirable).
- Extensive experience in Railway Signalling Testing and Commissioning, particularly in complex layouts.
- Proven track record in working with Computer-Based Interlocking (CBI) systems.
- Thorough knowledge of signalling principles and testing requirements.
- IRSE Principles Tester License or the ability to obtain one within a short timeframe.
- Membership in the Institution of Railway Signal Engineers (MIRSE) is highly desirable.
- Strong personnel management and communication skills.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure during critical commissioning periods.
- Experience with both conventional free-wired and geographical systems.
- Ability to mentor and develop junior staff.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
