Your Role
As a Technical Service Representative, you will be at the heart of the company's mission to offer exceptional technical support and guidance. Your role will involve engaging with customers to understand their needs, troubleshoot challenges, and ensure the effective application of products. You will actively promote the company's products, assist in their trials, and provide the technical expertise required to enhance customer satisfaction. Your deep understanding of polymer science and your ability to connect with customers will help you drive product improvements, develop training materials, and offer solutions that position our client as a leader in the industry.
Responsibilities
- Offer expert technical advice on product applications and assist customers in selecting appropriate solutions.
- Provide ongoing support to customers, ensuring product trials are successful and troubleshooting issues promptly.
- Develop and promote technical materials such as brochures and product communication tools.
- Lead technical training sessions for the sales team and regional partners, ensuring they have the necessary knowledge to support customers effectively.
- Collaborate with the laboratory to perform analytical tests and resolve product-related complaints.
- Investigate new market opportunities and work on co-developing new applications and product ranges with customers.
- Foster long-term relationships with customers, identifying opportunities for product improvements and technical innovations.
- Stay abreast of the latest trends in the plastic industry and contribute to the companys leadership in the field.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Chemistry, Polymer Science, Chemical Engineering, or a related field. A Masters degree is a plus.
- At least 2-5 years of experience in a sales or technical support role within the plastic or polymer industry.
- Strong communication skills in English; proficiency in an additional Asian language (preferably Chinese) is advantageous.
- Ability to travel extensively across Asia and work independently.
- Demonstrated expertise in polymer processing techniques and product application troubleshooting.
- Strong business acumen, analytical skills, and a customer-centric mindset.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and effectively in a dynamic environment.
