Your Role:

As a Business Development Specialist, you will play a key role in driving new growth initiatives and expanding the companys satellite business. Your responsibilities will include identifying and building partnerships with key stakeholders, developing strategic business models, and creating compelling proposals for prospective clients.

Key aspects of the role include:

  • Developing and executing strategic partnerships to drive new satellite projects.
  • Leading the preparation of business cases and feasibility studies, ensuring that the satellite initiatives align with company goals.
  • Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams (sales, engineering, legal) to ensure projects are executed efficiently and meet regulatory standards.
  • Negotiating contracts and partnerships with clients and vendors, ensuring mutually beneficial agreements.
  • Staying ahead of industry trends and competitor activities to identify emerging opportunities and provide insights to senior leadership.
  • Driving revenue growth through customer acquisition and new market expansion, contributing to the long-term success of the company.

This role requires a proactive, analytical thinker with strong communication and relationship-building skills. You will work closely with top-level executives and external partners to ensure the successful execution of business development strategies and satellite projects.

Job Scope:

  • New Growth Initiatives: Responsible for implementing new growth initiatives in the satellite business through strategic planning and analysis. Develop business alliances and partnerships in the industry.
  • Proposals and Presentations: Develop and deliver compelling proposals and presentations to prospective clients, highlighting the company's capabilities, services, and value proposition.
  • Contract Negotiations: Negotiate contracts, service agreements, and partnership conditions with clients and vendors. Ensure agreements align with company goals and mitigate risks.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams (sales, marketing, engineering, legal) and top executives to develop comprehensive business development strategies and execute plans effectively.
  • Industry Trend Monitoring: Stay informed about industry trends, market dynamics, and competitor activities to identify emerging opportunities and threats. Provide insights and recommendations to senior management for strategic decision-making.
  • Revenue Growth: Drive revenue growth through the acquisition of new customers, partnerships, and expansion of existing accounts. Help develop new business lines.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and company policies. Stay updated on relevant regulatory changes within Thailand, the region, and the satellite/telecom industry.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience with a proven track record in business development, sales, or related roles within the satellite industry, telecommunications, or ICT sectors.
  • Education: Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Finance, Marketing, Engineering (Telecommunications or Aerospace preferred) or a related field. A Masters degree or engineering background with a focus on telecommunications or aerospace is preferred.
  • Business Acumen: Strong business sense and a positive attitude in collaborating with cross-functional teams. Knowledge of satellite technology, telecommunications, and related markets is highly desirable.
  • Analytical and Communication Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to communicate and present complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Relationship Building: Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with customers, partners, and industry stakeholders.
  • Project Management: Highly organized, with strong project management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Travel: Willingness to travel as needed to meet clients, attend industry events, and participate in business development activities.
  • Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and any satellite-specific software/application tools is a plus.
