Procurement Senior Officer (Direct Material)

About the Role

Our client is a well-established manufacturing company based in Ayutthaya, supporting multiple customer-driven production programs in a fast-moving industrial environment.

They are currently looking for a Procurement Senior Officer to strengthen materials and procurement coordination within the operation. This role is best suited for someone who combines materials planning awareness, supplier coordination, and execution discipline in a manufacturing setting.

This is not a routine back-office purchasing role. The position plays an important part in ensuring material readiness supports production requirements, shipments are aligned to demand, and issues are followed up before they affect operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor material requirements in line with production plans and demand changes
• Coordinate with suppliers on order status, shipment timing, and delivery commitment
• Follow up on purchase orders, supplier promise dates, and inbound delivery progress
• Respond to production plan changes by adjusting supply timing where needed
• Track material readiness and flag potential supply risks early
• Work closely with internal stakeholders, including Production, Program, Logistics, Store, and Finance
• Support issue resolution when supply timing, shipment movement, or document flow affects operations
• Use ERP reports and available data to support planning and follow-up activities
• Help maintain data accuracy and process discipline to improve visibility and execution

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or related field
• At least 3 to 5 years of experience in procurement, buying, materials planning, or supply coordination within manufacturing
• Strong understanding of production-linked material flow and supply timing
• Experience coordinating with overseas suppliers
• Good follow-up discipline and ability to manage multiple priorities
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills
• Functional to good English communication skills
• Familiarity with Oracle or similar ERP systems is an advantage

Working Conditions
