About the job IR Director / Fractional CEO (On-Chain Prediction Market, Stealth Mode)
Overview
We are building a fully on-chain prediction market powered by a Dynamic Liquidity Market Maker (DLMM). Unlike centralised competitors that rely on CLOB engines, our protocol creates genuine LP opportunities for liquidity providers—bringing DeFi-native yield mechanics to the prediction market vertical. We are currently in closed beta on testnet and working with postdoc researchers on mechanism design improvements.
Having raised a pre-seed round to date, we are actively fundraising and need a front-facing leader to drive the next round. This role begins as IR Director with a clear promotion path to CEO based on fundraising performance and team fit.
Current Status
- Technical Foundation: Strong engineering team led by an interim CEO/CTO who will transition back to a pure CTO role once the new hire is in place.
- Product Stage: Closed beta testnet with active mechanism design research. Operating in stealth mode.
- Market Positioning: Differentiated from centralised players (Polymarket, Kalshi) and other decentralised attempts that haven't achieved product-market fit.
The Role
This is not a traditional operational CEO position. Day-to-day operations remain with the Founder/CTO. The hire will serve as the fundraising and investor-relations lead, acting as the external face of the company to the investment community. Strong performance during the initial engagement will lead to a full CEO appointment with increased equity.
Key Responsibilities
- Fundraising Execution: Own the end-to-end fundraise—sourcing introductions, running the pitch process, negotiating terms, and closing rounds.
- Investor Relations: Build and manage relationships with VCs, institutional investors, and strategic capital across the U.S. market.
- Strategic Narrative: Shape the company's story for investors—positioning the DLMM model, the LP opportunity, and the competitive moat against centralised and decentralised alternatives.
- Institutional Credibility: Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and investor meetings. Serve as the public face in the U.S. market.
- Regulatory Awareness: Support long-term regulatory strategy, including alignment with relevant U.S. governing bodies as the product scales.
Requirements
Must-Haves
- DeFi & prediction markets understanding. You should be able to articulate how AMMs, CLOB engines, and liquidity provision work, and speak credibly to investors on mechanism design.
- Proven fundraising track record. Demonstrated experience raising $2M+ as a founder or operator pitching to VCs. We need someone who has been in the room and closed.
- Strong institutional background. Top-tier education and/or experience at recognised companies that lend immediate credibility with investors.
- Aggressive, front-facing fundraiser. This role requires someone who thrives on outbound investor engagement—not a passive, operations-first profile.
Location
Open to candidates based in the United States, Canada, Australia, United Kingdom, or Singapore. Non-U.S. candidates must be willing to travel to and stay in the U.S. for 2–3 months during the active fundraise period.
Career Path
This role is designed as a stepping stone to CEO. The current CTO is serving as interim CEO and will hand off the CEO title to the right person. Promotion will be based on fundraising performance during the initial 3-month engagement, alignment with the founding team, and demonstrated ability to represent the company at the highest level.
Timeline
This is an urgent hire. The company is in active fundraise mode and needs an investor-facing lead immediately. Expect a fast interview process with direct access to the founding team.
