A fast-moving crypto startup backed by leaders from Robinhood, Meta, and LinkedIn is hiring a Senior Backend Engineer to help build the next generation of decentralized trading infrastructure. This is a zero-to-one opportunity to join a founding team solving some of the most complex engineering problems in DeFi and trading.

The ideal candidate has a strong backend background, thrives with full ownership of mission-critical systems, and is eager to work on high-throughput, sub-second latency APIs powering the future of finance.


Responsibilities

  • Build high-performance backend services for real-time trading systems and APIs

  • Take full ownership of 01 projects from architecture to deployment

  • Collaborate closely with engineering leads to set best practices and engineering culture

  • Work on cutting-edge challenges like Solana transaction indexing, messaging between blockchains and distributed systems, or matching engine infrastructure


Tech Stack

  • Golang

  • Kafka, Clickhouse

  • Docker, AWS, Terraform

  • Prometheus, Grafana

  • TypeScript / React (for collaboration with front-end team)

  • Move / Solidity (bonus)


Example Engineering Problems

  • Indexing millions of Solana transactions daily to support sub-second trading

  • Designing real-time communication between blockchains and backend services

  • Creating a matching engine with high performance + data reliability

  • Building scalable wallet-sweeping systems at low cost


Ideal Profile

  • Senior-level (IC5+); proven experience delivering production systems at scale

  • Strong background in backend systems especially trading, infra, or distributed systems

  • Crypto experience is a plus, not a must curiosity and execution matter more

  • Obsessive about developer experience, code quality, and scalability
