General Description - Uganda

The Associate Pastor position is responsible for guiding the children in their Christian faith. This position will create weekly bible studies appropriate for various ages. The Associate Pastor will encourage worship time and daily devotionals. He or she will report issues with children, staff, or property to the Country Director/Programs Manager. He or she will be responsible for adding input to individual plans for each child. The position will report directly to the Programs Manager. This is a field position. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Create Christian faith-based plans for the children.
  • Establish weekly routines for the children to participate in worship and bible studies.
  • Available for individual prayer time as needed by the children.
  • Understanding of what each child believes and how they are developing their relationship with Jesus Christ
  • Provide input to the plans for each child.
  • Pray and encourage staff members
  • Communicate routinely with Country Director/Programs Manager
  • Other duties as assigned

Skills and Experience

  • Strong biblical knowledge.
  • Experience working with children required.
  • Bible college or seminary preferred.
  • Ability to create and manage faith-based plans for children.
  • Ability to confidently communicate with diverse age ranges of children.
