Job Summary

The Programs Manager will play a significant role in the development and sustainability of the long-term plan for Noonday Children's Homes. He or she will work closely with the Executive Director/Country Director in managing Noonday Children's Homes. He or she will be responsible for creating individual plans for each child with input from the Operations Manager, House Parents, Counselors, and teachers. He or she must be passionate about working with children and influencing the next generation of Ugandans. The position will report directly to the Country Director - Uganda. This is a field position.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create the overall Program strategy for NCH
  • Develop strategic relationships and partnerships that are needed to maintain a safe home for the children
  • Create individual plans for each child with feedback from all that interact with the children.
  • Assist with monthly budgeting needs for programs
  • Assist with solving problems at the property and be on call for emergencies
  • Communicate routinely with the Country Director
  • Other duties as assigned

Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in management, marketing, business, or a related field
  • At least 3 years of experience working ideally with an international or  Christian NGO.
  • Collaboration with others, including staff and government officials
  • Relevant work and event management experience required.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills are essential.
  • Ability to confidently communicate with diverse audiences.
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel and Word.
  • Strong organizational skills are essential, and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure.
  • Proven project management ability.

  • Ability to travel, as needed.
