Position reports to: Managing Director
Direct reports: Sales Executives/Agents
Key relationships: The Position works closely with the Managing Director and other designated officials to ensure effective execution of sales activities and achievement of targets.
Job Purpose:
The Sales Supervisor will be responsible for coordinating and driving sales activities to support business growth. The role focuses on overseeing day-to-day sales operations, guiding the sales team, and ensuring effective execution of sales strategies to achieve revenue targets.
The position requires a hands-on professional who can both lead by example in sales delivery and support the development of structured sales processes and systems.
Key Responsibility Areas
Sales Execution & Revenue Growth:
- Drive the achievement of assigned sales targets and revenue goals.
- Actively participate in client acquisition, including prospecting, pitching, and closing deals.
- Identify new business opportunities and market segments for growth.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key clients and partners.
Team Coordination & Support:
- Supervise and support sales staff to ensure optimal performance.
- Provide ongoing coaching, mentorship, and performance feedback.
- Assist in onboarding and training new sales team members.
- Monitor individual and team performance against targets.
Sales Operations & Process Development:
- Support the development and implementation of sales processes, tools, and reporting systems.
- Ensure proper documentation of sales activities and pipeline management.
- Prepare regular sales reports, forecasts, and performance analyses.
- Contribute to pricing strategies and product positioning in collaboration with management.
Customer Experience & Retention:
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through effective service delivery and follow-up.
- Address client concerns and resolve issues in a timely manner.
- Support retention initiatives, including renewals and upselling.
Market Intelligence:
- Monitor competitor activities, market trends, and customer needs.
- Provide insights to inform business strategy and product development.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Achievement of sales targets and revenue growth.
- Number of new clients acquired.
- Customer retention rate.
- Sales pipeline conversion rates.
- Team performance and productivity.
- Accuracy and timeliness of sales reporting.
Personal Specification
Education & Certifications:
- A Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Sales, Business Administration or a related field from a recognized university.
Experience:
- Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in sales, preferably in telecommunications, ISP, or technology services.
- Prior experience in a supervisory or team leadership role is an added advantage.
