Position reports to: Managing Director

Direct reports: Sales Executives/Agents

Key relationships: The Position works closely with the Managing Director and other designated officials to ensure effective execution of sales activities and achievement of targets.

Job Purpose:

The Sales Supervisor will be responsible for coordinating and driving sales activities to support business growth. The role focuses on overseeing day-to-day sales operations, guiding the sales team, and ensuring effective execution of sales strategies to achieve revenue targets.

The position requires a hands-on professional who can both lead by example in sales delivery and support the development of structured sales processes and systems.

Key Responsibility Areas

Sales Execution & Revenue Growth:

  • Drive the achievement of assigned sales targets and revenue goals.
  • Actively participate in client acquisition, including prospecting, pitching, and closing deals.
  • Identify new business opportunities and market segments for growth.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key clients and partners.

Team Coordination & Support:

  • Supervise and support sales staff to ensure optimal performance.
  • Provide ongoing coaching, mentorship, and performance feedback.
  • Assist in onboarding and training new sales team members.
  • Monitor individual and team performance against targets.

Sales Operations & Process Development:

  • Support the development and implementation of sales processes, tools, and reporting systems.
  • Ensure proper documentation of sales activities and pipeline management.
  • Prepare regular sales reports, forecasts, and performance analyses.
  • Contribute to pricing strategies and product positioning in collaboration with management.

Customer Experience & Retention:

  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through effective service delivery and follow-up.
  • Address client concerns and resolve issues in a timely manner.
  • Support retention initiatives, including renewals and upselling.

Market Intelligence:

  • Monitor competitor activities, market trends, and customer needs.
  • Provide insights to inform business strategy and product development.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  • Achievement of sales targets and revenue growth.
  • Number of new clients acquired.
  • Customer retention rate.
  • Sales pipeline conversion rates.
  • Team performance and productivity.
  • Accuracy and timeliness of sales reporting.

Personal Specification

Education & Certifications:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Sales, Business Administration or a related field from a recognized university.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in sales, preferably in telecommunications, ISP, or technology services.
  • Prior experience in a supervisory or team leadership role is an added advantage.
