You will be responsible for operating machinery that creates essential components that range from inches to multiple feet. You may also be required to perform routine machine maintenance and troubleshoot any issues that arise during the manufacturing process. You should also have the confidence to work with teams across the production process.

*This is a weekend shift: Fri-Sun 12 hr. shifts. Work 36hrs get paid for 40.

Qualifications, Skills & Responsibilities:

• 5+ years of current experience as a CNC Vertical Turning Center Operator / Machinist Experience with metal forgings. Machining Certification.
• Follow engineering charts to perform initial assembly of tools.
• Interpret program to install all tools in the machine and establish offsets and adjust machine offsets to ensure part conformance.
• Complete machining of first piece, and verifiy dimensions on machines to correspond with drawings.
• Use instrumentation and gauges, along with shop tools to verity operational drawing requirements and part conformance.
• Read and understand basic technical drawings / blueprints to produce parts that meet specifications.
• Measure and document dimensions during operations and maintain appropriate machining and operations records.
• Strong knowledge of basic machining principles, GD&T, and ability to read blueprints.
• Analytical skills with the ability to use hand tools, measuring instruments, and gauges etc.
