POWER DESIGN ENGINEER

We're looking for the best and brightest Power Design Engineer, to be part of a team responsible for developing Undersea Communication systems. You must be motivated to drive innovation around design architectures, assembly, component selection, and electronics design. Along with exceptional collaboration / communication skills, and previous expertise leading design teams for complex projects. Ability to travel as needed.

** A $10K Sign on Bonus + $1000 Agency Bonus. A relocation Package is available to the right person.

Required:

A DoD Top-Secret Clearance is required. You will be subjected to a U.S. Government security investigation to obtain one.

Experience / Education

  • BSEE, with 8+ years related experience, or Master's with 6 years experience.
  • Power systems / Module design Including power topology design experience.
  • Power System architecture and grounding.
  • Transmission Line Effects in power systems.
  • Magnetic Design.
  • CAD tools & mixed Signal circuit analysis and design.
  • Electrical engineering concepts, principles, and theories.
  • Analog design and instrumentation (design and analysis).
  • Power systems / Module design.

Experience should also include

  • Power topology design experience from few watts to KW+ converters.
  • Feedback / Control systems experience
  • Power System architecture and grounding
  • Isolated Switching Converters
  • Transmission Line Effects in power systems
  • EMI test and control methods (MIL-STD-461, FCC / IDE / VDE, etc.)
  • Strong troubleshooting abilities.
  • The use of specialized laboratory equipment such as spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, and other test equipment for development, testing, and troubleshooting.
  • Writing specifications, requirements, and verification procedures for complex electronic systems and components.
  • Stay ahead of technology trends with (R&D) experience, as well as advanced proficiency in test, troubleshooting, and analyzing circuit card schematics.
