This amazing little centre takes pride in having one of the best kaiako-to-tamaiti ratios. This helps to provide an environment that is nurturing and thoughtful. They strive to support staff in a way that fuels their passions. From ensuring there are plenty of opportunities for one-to-one time with the children, to empowering staff to spearhead their ideas for programming, projects around the centre, etc. A smaller centre, licensed for under 40.

We are looking for a Centre Manager to come lead this fantastic team. As a smaller, more intimate centre, there will be minimal roadblocks to reach goals and get things done. We want you to bring your ideas and passions to the role.

This is a family-run centre. The owners are absolutely wonderful, you truly couldn't ask for more. They are not on-site daily, but they will be available to support as much as you need, while also being hands-off enough for you to shine. The owners believe that great leaders shine brightest when they are empowered to be their authentic selves. They are extremely open-minded to new ideas and will give you the support to be successful.

There is an incredible administrator, which will free you up to spend more time leading your team and less time sorting paperwork.

The owners are mindful of the high burnout rate for centre managers; they strive to support in a way to prevent burnout however possible. When they welcome you to the team, they are welcoming you into their family.

We are looking for a leader who:

  • Cares about empowering their team and encourages each teacher to keep their passion for education alive.
  • Fosters a respectful environment. Has a leadership style that naturally cultivates a positive healthy staff culture.
  • Has a warm approachable, yet professional presence, and will take great pride in representing the centre to whanau and our community.
  • Is a qualified and registered ECE kaiako
  • Has sound knowledge of ECE regulations and professional standards.
  • Possesses excellent organisational, compliance and budgeting skills.
  • Doesn't hesitate to change a few nappies, take out the rubbish or sweep the floor to help their team.
  • Has the right to work and live in New Zealand.

Previous centre manager experience is preferred, but open to discussing for the right candidate.
