Experienced Assistant Buyer - Permanent Role

As Assistant Buyer you will conceptualize a fashion line in your assigned category for the TALLY WEiJL target customer. You are responsible for the best assortment best product at the best price, at the right time and in the right quantity

YOUR TASKS

• constantly on the lookout for new trends, best basics and best style for the customer
• Drive the production strategy decided by the Buyer and create with him/her a production plan: manufacturing country, schedule timing and capacity;ensure production is cost-effective
• Negotiate cost and deadlines, manage the margin according to the budget and respect the calendar
• Manage the approvals for fit samples, lap dips and trims, with the Buyer & Designer
• Develop the existing supplier network: Identify key-suppliers/Have a global overview of your suppliers' performance in order to identify advantages and potential issues; be a step ahead
• Supplier Performance Management and Analysis: Ensure supplier meets 100% TALLY WEiJL standards for Quality, Logistics and Social Standards
• Support the Senior Buyer in collaboration with the Visual Merchandisers to put emphasis on main pieces and promotions

WHAT SETS YOU APART

• 2-3 years of experience in a similar position
• Outstanding negotiation skills
• Strong analytical skills and result oriented
• Pro-active and problem-solving attitude in a fast-paced environment
• Highly organized and able to prioritize
• Strong understanding of Jersey dresses , Tops , Skirts
•  garment construction and fabric types
• You live and love fashion
• You speak English fluently, any other language is an asset
