About the Role:
The Senior Mechanical Engineer is a senior level engineering position responsible for leading the design, development, and commercialization of advanced mechanical systems and components. This role supports complex product development from concept through production, with a strong emphasis on design for manufacturing, prototyping, and technical leadership. The position is well suited for an experienced engineer seeking to work in a fast paced, innovation driven environment delivering high quality industrial products.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead mechanical design projects from initial concept through prototyping, validation, and production release.

  • Take full ownership of assigned projects from inception to completion, ensuring technical excellence and timely delivery.

  • Develop project requirements, conduct technical investigations, and resolve complex product and process challenges.

  • Design complete mechanical systems and individual components for prototype, pre commercial, and commercial products.

  • Prepare detailed design specifications, engineering analyses, and technical recommendations for leadership review.

  • Apply design for manufacturing and design for assembly principles to ensure scalable, cost effective production.

  • Perform advanced CAD modeling, tolerance analysis, and creation of engineering documentation.

  • Conduct and interpret finite element analysis and other simulations to validate mechanical performance.

  • Support hands on prototyping, testing, and iterative design improvements.

  • Provide technical leadership and collaborate with cross functional engineering and manufacturing teams.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET accredited program.

  • Ten or more years of experience in mechanical design and product development.

  • Strong experience designing products for manufacture in industrial or commercial environments.

  • Advanced proficiency with SolidWorks or equivalent 3D CAD software.

  • Demonstrated experience with finite element analysis, ANSYS preferred.

  • Proven ability to lead technically complex projects and deliver high quality engineering solutions.

  • Strong analytical, problem solving, and technical communication skills.

  • U.S. Citizenship is a mandatory requirement for this role.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience developing complex machinery or industrial equipment from concept through commercialization.

  • Background supporting prototype builds and transition to production manufacturing.

  • Experience mentoring junior engineers or serving as a technical project lead.

  • Strong interest in working within a technically demanding, product focused engineering environment.
