About the Role
The Production Supervisor manages shift operations in a food production facility, ensuring consistent product output, quality control, and team efficiency. Responsibilities:
- Supervise all aspects of daily production operations to meet quality and output targets
- Monitor production schedules, adjust workflows, and allocate resources as needed
- Ensure compliance with food safety, quality, and workplace safety regulations (GMP, HACCP, OSHA)
- Train and coach production staff on standard operating procedures (SOPs) and best practices
- Record production data, downtime events, and performance metrics for continuous improvement
- Communicate with QA, maintenance, and inventory teams to resolve process bottlenecks
- Enforce company policies and safety protocols across all shifts
- Participate in root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for production issues
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience in a food manufacturing or industrial environment
- Solid understanding of production processes, food safety protocols, and quality control standards
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong organizational and team leadership skills
- Familiarity with production tracking systems and Microsoft Office
Desired Qualifications:
- Associate degree in operations management, food science, or business
- Bilingual in English and Spanish
- Experience with ERP systems and lean manufacturing practices
- Knowledge of scheduling, labor planning, and production KPIs
