The HR Generalist plays a pivotal role in managing core human resources functions such as recruitment, employee relations, compliance, and benefits administration within a manufacturing environment. Responsibilities:
- Administer daily HR operations including onboarding, benefits enrollment, and personnel file management
- Coordinate full-cycle recruitment including job postings, applicant screening, interview scheduling, and offer letter generation
- Manage benefits-related tasks such as open enrollment, employee support, and claims assistance
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws as well as internal HR policies
- Assist in developing and updating HR policies, procedures, and employee handbooks
- Generate HR reports and maintain accurate data for audits and internal reviews
- Maintain and update human resources information systems (HRIS) to ensure accurate employee records
- Support learning and development initiatives and track training participation
- Conduct new hire orientations and coordinate employee engagement activities
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as an HR Generalist or HR Coordinator
- Knowledge of employment laws including FMLA, ADA, EEO, and labor law compliance
- Proficiency with HRIS platforms and Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining confidentiality
- Understanding of payroll processes and employee benefits administration
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience working in a manufacturing or industrial environment
- Familiarity with applicant tracking systems (ATS) for recruitment and hiring
- Background in employee training, development programs, or HR project management
