About the Role

The Maintenance Manager plays a critical leadership role by overseeing all aspects of facility and equipment maintenance in a manufacturing environment. This position ensures optimal performance of machinery, drives preventive and predictive maintenance efforts, and leads a team of maintenance professionals to support continuous production operations. The role requires hands-on technical expertise, strong project management skills, and a commitment to safety and operational excellence.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the maintenance team to ensure production equipment operates efficiently and safely
  • Plan, implement, and monitor routine preventive and predictive maintenance programs
  • Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
  • Conduct root cause analysis for equipment failures and implement corrective actions
  • Oversee installation and modification of mechanical and electrical equipment
  • Maintain and utilize maintenance management software to track work orders and equipment history
  • Ensure compliance with all safety protocols and regulatory standards
  • Manage maintenance inventory, tools, and supplies to support operational needs
  • Read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, and technical manuals
  • Support capital projects and perform special facility maintenance tasks as assigned
  • Coordinate with production and department leaders to prioritize maintenance needs
  • Train and mentor maintenance staff to uphold high technical and safety standards
  • Perform basic administrative tasks, including purchasing parts and maintaining maintenance records
  • Act as backup supervisor when the Maintenance Manager is unavailable

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years of mechanical and electrical maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
  • At least 3 years of supervisory or managerial experience in maintenance
  • Proficient in troubleshooting PLCs, electrical circuits, motors, relays, disconnects, and fuses
  • Strong understanding of pneumatics, hydraulics, and industrial mechanical systems
  • Ability to perform and lead preventative and predictive maintenance activities
  • Skilled in using maintenance software and Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and engineering diagrams
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Desired Qualifications:

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Industrial Maintenance, Engineering, or a related field
  • Certification in electrical, mechanical, or industrial maintenance
  • Experience with lean manufacturing or continuous improvement processes
  • Familiarity with OSHA regulations and workplace safety compliance
  • Experience managing capital projects and equipment installations
