Vice President of Sales Modular Construction

About the Role:
The Vice President of Sales drives the strategic growth and revenue performance of a leading modular construction organization. This executive-level position oversees all aspects of sales operations, business development, and client relationship management, ensuring sustainable market expansion and alignment with company objectives. The ideal candidate is a proven sales leader with experience in modular or construction environments, capable of developing high-performing teams and delivering results through data-driven strategy and relationship-based selling. Compensation includes a competitive base salary plus commissions of 2% of net sales, capped at $400,000 annually.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and manage strategic sales plans to achieve and exceed company revenue goals and growth objectives.

  • Lead, coach, and inspire the sales team to deliver top-tier performance, fostering accountability, motivation, and collaboration.

  • Identify and secure new business opportunities across residential, commercial, and mixed-use modular housing markets.

  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with developers, contractors, and key decision-makers to drive long-term partnerships.

  • Oversee all aspects of the sales process, including lead generation, pipeline management, and contract negotiation.

  • Collaborate with design, project management, and marketing teams to align sales initiatives with overall business strategies.

  • Conduct detailed market analysis to identify emerging opportunities and inform pricing, product, and regional expansion strategies.

  • Manage sales budgets, forecasts, and reporting to ensure accuracy, transparency, and alignment with company goals.

  • Represent the organization at industry events and conferences to promote brand awareness and thought leadership.

  • Drive continuous improvement in sales processes, CRM use, and performance tracking to enhance operational efficiency.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or a related field; MBA preferred.

  • 10+ years of progressive sales experience, including at least 5 years in a senior leadership capacity.

  • Proven success in sales management within the modular construction, prefabrication, or building materials industries.

  • Strong leadership, communication, and negotiation skills with a demonstrated ability to manage complex sales cycles.

  • Experience developing and implementing revenue growth strategies for both B2B and B2C markets.

  • Proficiency with CRM platforms (such as Zoho CRM) and sales analytics tools for forecasting and pipeline tracking.

  • Skilled in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, Adobe, and related marketing or collaboration tools.

  • Willingness to travel as needed to support regional and national sales efforts.

  • Deep understanding of modular housing systems, design processes, and building code compliance.
