About the Role:
The Sales Engineer, Capital Equipment Sales, is responsible for driving revenue growth through the sale of advanced industrial mixing and processing systems. This role combines deep technical knowledge with consultative, solution based selling to support both new business development and expansion within existing accounts. The position requires frequent travel, hands on product demonstrations, and close collaboration with internal engineering and operations teams to deliver high value solutions across diverse industrial applications.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the full sales cycle for capital equipment, including lead generation, prospect qualification, technical presentations, demonstrations, and closing.

  • Independently generate new business through cold outreach, referrals, and territory focused sales development activities.

  • Deliver compelling, hands on equipment demonstrations at customer facilities and industry events.

  • Clearly articulate product capabilities, technical advantages, and application specific value to both technical and non technical stakeholders.

  • Respond to RFIs, RFPs, and RFQs with accurate technical and commercial information.

  • Represent products at trade shows, conferences, seminars, and industry exhibitions.

  • Collaborate with engineering, product management, and operations teams to communicate customer requirements and emerging application needs.

  • Maintain accurate opportunity tracking, forecasts, and customer records within CRM systems.

  • Identify and resolve customer technical issues throughout the sales and product life cycle to ensure satisfaction and retention.

  • Meet or exceed monthly and annual sales goals while adhering to company policies and professional standards.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Engineering or a related technical field.

  • Five or more years of experience in capital equipment sales or technical sales.

  • Strong knowledge of industrial processing, manufacturing equipment, or materials handling technologies.

  • Proven ability to sell complex technical products and manage long sales cycles.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.

  • High level of professionalism, integrity, and customer focus.

  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 50 percent of the time.

  • Valid drivers license with a strong driving record.

  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem solving skills.

  • U.S. Citizenship is a mandatory requirement for this role.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience developing new markets and driving missionary or greenfield sales efforts.

  • Hands on mechanical aptitude and comfort installing, operating, and demonstrating industrial equipment.

  • Experience using CRM platforms such as Salesforce for pipeline and account management.

  • Ability to thrive in a high activity, fast paced sales environment with aggressive growth objectives.
