As a Senior Python Engineer, you'll play a crucial role in shaping our backend architecture, developing mission-critical APIs, and building internal tools to help our business scale. What Youll Do

• Architect, build, and maintain the backend for TalTap's platform using Flask and FastAPI
• Develop and enhance internal back-office tools to support business operations
• Design and implement scalable APIs to power mobile and web applications
• Leverage Firebase and Google Cloud Platform (GCP) to ensure seamless cloud-based solutions
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to refine product requirements and deliver robust features
• Drive technical decision-making and contribute to the overall architecture of our platform
• Optimize performance, security, and reliability of backend services
• (Future Growth) Lead and mentor a team of engineers as we scale

What Were Looking For

• 4+ years of professional Python experience
  
• Strong experience with Flask, FastAPI, and REST API development
• Familiarity with Firebase and GCP cloud services (big plus!)
• Experience with cloud functions and scalable backend architectures
• Passion for building clean, maintainable, and efficient code
• Ability to work independently in a fast-moving startup environment
• A problem-solver who enjoys autonomy, taking ownership, and delivering results

Nice to Have

• Experience with mobile backend development (iOS/Android integration)
• Previous experience working in a startup environment
• Understanding of real-time data processing and event-driven architectures
