About the job Revenue Excellence Manager
Company Description
Our client is a North American agency that supports tech-focused businesses by providing scalable offshore sales and marketing solutions. They help teams generate leads, optimize campaigns, and drive revenue growth without the operational overhead of building large in-house teams.
Role Description
Our client is looking for a systems-oriented Revenue Excellence Manager to lead and continuously improve the operating rhythm of their Business Development organization. This role serves as the connective tissue between Marketing, Business Development, Revenue Operations, Sales Leadership, and Account Management—turning individual knowledge into repeatable, scalable processes.
The selected candidate will coach BDRs, strengthen sales execution, improve CRM discipline, document best practices, analyze revenue performance, and ensure the organization operates with greater consistency and predictability. While the CEO will continue to serve as the primary Account Executive and rainmaker, you will become the operational leader behind the revenue engine and act as the CEO's eyes and ears across day-to-day sales activities.
Key Responsibilities
BDR Leadership & Coaching
- Serve as the day-to-day leader of the Business Development Representative team.
- Conduct daily coaching sessions, one-on-one meetings, live-call coaching, and pipeline reviews.
- Monitor activity levels, individual performance, and overall BDR quota attainment.
- Develop and manage performance improvement plans where required.
- Lead skills development, new-hire onboarding, ongoing training, and structured coaching programs.
- Establish consistent performance-management rhythms that enable every BDR to improve week over week.
- Improve meeting quality, SQL conversion, pipeline consistency, and new-hire ramp time.
Executive Visibility & Revenue Risk Management
- Act as the CEO's eyes and ears across the Business Development organization.
- Identify coaching opportunities, process bottlenecks, CRM inconsistencies, prospect feedback, objection trends, and team-development needs.
- Monitor pipeline coverage, follow-up discipline, revenue risks, and cross-functional challenges.
- Surface issues early and recommend practical, data-informed solutions.
- Reduce the CEO's involvement in day-to-day sales management by creating greater visibility, accountability, and operating consistency.
Sales Process & Enablement
- Build, improve, and maintain the sales operating system across the organization.
- Develop sales playbooks, standard operating procedures, call frameworks, qualification methodologies, discovery guides, and proposal standards.
- Create and maintain sales documentation, enablement resources, AI workflows, and HubSpot governance standards.
- Translate effective sales practices into documented, repeatable processes.
- Identify documentation gaps and create the resources required to improve execution and adoption.
- Monitor SOP adoption and ensure processes remain relevant, practical, and consistently followed.
Sales Operations & Revenue Analytics
- Partner closely with Revenue Operations to improve CRM hygiene, data integrity, pipeline management, and reporting accuracy.
- Strengthen forecasting processes, dashboard development, sales automation, and performance analytics.
- Ensure HubSpot data accurately reflects actual pipeline activity and sales performance.
- Monitor CRM cleanliness, forecast accuracy, dashboard reliability, and documentation completion.
- Analyze pipeline coverage, pipeline quality, sales velocity, and conversion performance.
- Use revenue data to identify risks, operational gaps, and opportunities for improvement.
Sales & Marketing Alignment
- Serve as Marketing's primary sales partner and provide ongoing feedback from the Business Development team.
- Share insights regarding lead quality, campaign effectiveness, messaging, buyer personas, and Ideal Customer Profile refinement.
- Analyze conversion rates, competitive intelligence, prospect feedback, and content opportunities.
- Help Marketing improve campaign quality and performance through structured, actionable sales insights.
- Strengthen alignment across Marketing, Business Development, Sales, and Account Management.
Continuous Improvement & AI Adoption
- Regularly review sales-call recordings, email conversations, win/loss trends, conversion metrics, objection patterns, sales velocity, and pipeline movement.
- Identify recurring patterns and translate findings into coaching, process, and enablement improvements.
- Build a culture where sales activities are continuously reviewed and used as learning opportunities.
- Incorporate AI into daily workflows, including call reviews, coaching recommendations, SOP creation, CRM documentation, sales playbooks, and prompt development.
- Use AI to identify coaching trends and automate repetitive sales and operational activities.
- Continuously explore new tools and approaches that can improve the performance of the revenue organization.
Account Executive Development
- Develop a strong understanding of the clients' customers, services, commercial model, and sales methodology.
- Gradually participate in discovery meetings, product demonstrations, proposal presentations, commercial negotiations, and closing conversations.
- Develop into a sales co-pilot for the CEO while continuing to lead sales-excellence initiatives.
- Prepare to take ownership of selected strategic customer opportunities as the organization grows.
Skills & Qualifications
- 7+ years of B2B sales experience, including at least 4 years of experience leading, managing, or coaching sales teams.
